Atomic Heartis well-known for its punishing difficulty, twisted setting, and obscure details. Thus, many of the boss fights, secrets, and story beats ofAtomic Hearthave some sort of achievement/trophy attached to them. These achievements encourage players to deepen their knowledge of the setting or to challenge themselves to win a fight with restrictive conditions.

The Beast Friend achievement falls squarely into the category of “obscure details.” At some point while playingAtomic Heart, players might wonder to themselves: Didthe scientists of Facility 3826ever try polymerizing animals? Yes. Yes they did, and the results of those tests are a chicken, a cow, and a pig that have some… interesting things to say.
Where to Find the Animals for the Beast Friend Achievement
There are a total of three polymerized animals that need to be found to earn the Beast Friend Achievement. There’s a cow, a chicken, and a pig that all have something to say postmortem. Agent P-3 is more than a little put off by this experience, but Charles,P-3’s witty AI companion, seems morbidly curious about it. Check out the following locations to track down these animals.
Polymerized Cow
The Polymerized Cow can be found across the pond from the boathouse. It’s near the shore on the side of the pond with the solar arrays. Upon approaching it, P-3 makes his hesitation known and Charles tries to explain. The whole time the cow is dropping top-notch one-liners about anything bovine.

Polymerized Pig
The polymerized pig can be found next to a farmhouse that’s between Testing Grounds 10 and 2. It’s a little more off-putting than the cow. The pig is just relishing the idea of the various things it wants to do and the food it wants to eat. Agent P-3 is confused of course, and Charles takes the opportunity to dropthe best sarcastic insultin the whole game.
Polymerized Chicken
The Polymerized Chicken can be found alongside the road at the entrance to the large bridge in the south-east part of the map. Of the three, this chicken is by far the most depressing. Suffice to say, the chicken is decrying the loss of her eggs and it’s just sad. It’s one of very few skip-worthy experiences in this game. P-3 is ready to be a vegetarian by the end of it
