Summary
DespiteDragon’s Dogma 2being a very recent release at the time of writing this, there are already plenty of mods out for the game. As per usual with just about any game, the community works incredibly fast when it comes to fan-made mods.
The vast majority of them just make minor tweaks to in-game systems, but a lot of those tweaks can make or break a person’s experience withDragon’s Dogma 2overall. So, let’s take a look through some of the best mods out at the moment for the game.

10Dragon’s Dogma 2 CPU Priority
Created By Ranjith Kumar
First up is a very technical mod that doesn’t change a lot aboutDragon’s Dogma 2overall. In fact, the mod itself doesn’t really even touch theDD2files. Instead, this is just a mod thathelps the computer’s CPU makeDD2more of a prioritywhile it’s running.
With this enabled, the framerate in big cities and towns in-game won’t improve a ton, but the overall stuttering and consistency of the performance in these areas should see a big improvement.

9Enemies Drop Ferrystones
Created by Xyzkljl1
Next up is a very unique type of mod, as it’s one thatmodifies the rarity of a specific itembut doesn’t completely break the balance of the game. Currently, inDragon’s Dogma 2, players have to either get lucky with finding a lot of Ferrystones or they have to spend the majority of their money on Ferrystones at merchants.
But, with this mod installed, any enemy that has a chance to drop an item when killed now also has a 5 percent chance to drop a Ferrystone (instead of its usual item).

8Better UI: Colorful Map Icons
Created by Caites
Another incredibly simplistic mod that can have a pretty noticeable effect on the overall enjoyment of DD2 is the Better UI mod by Caites. This mod simply makes themap icons a bit more colorfuland easily distinguishable.
By default, the icons for the different locations on the map such as an Apothecary, an Inn, or a Weapons Shop are the same general color as the map’s background color. They don’t blend in a ton, but these colors being so similar does make it hard to read things at a glance. But, with this mod installed, players can open up the map and almost instantly point out the icon they’re looking for and where it is on the map.

7Infinite Stamina Out Of Combat
Created by Lingsamuel
This next one is huge for anyDD2players (orevenDragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisenplayers) who find themselves constantly getting annoyed at having tomanage their Staminawhile running around out of combat. This mod is simple and it does exactly what the name suggests, itgives the Arisen infinite Staminawhile they’re out of combat.
In general, there’s not really much of a reason why the player doesn’t have infinite Stamina out of combat by default like they do while in any city; it just seems to be something the developers decided on. Thankfully, with this mod, that decision is now in the hands of the player.

6Riddle Of Rumination Marker
Created by Gibbed
Out of all the mods on this list, this is probably the most hyper-specific one and also probably the one people were asking for the most. The final riddle in the first part of the Game of Wits questline inDragon’s Dogma 2is an incredibly fun idea. Making the player try andretrace their steps to the first Seeker’s Tokenthey found and giving them a time limit to do so is brave in a way that a lot of other game developers are hesitant to attempt.
However, not everyone is a fan of this design choice, and for those players, this is just the mod for them. With this installed and the Game of Wits quest setas their current Priority Quest, the game shouldput the quest marker at the location of their actual first Seeker’s Token. It’s just nice to have the option to avoid dealing with this wacky design choice without having to lose out on the rewards from that specific Sphinx Chest.

5No Job Requirements
Created by LordGregory
This next mod is not only useful for players who loved the armor customization options inDragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, but it’s also a fun way for players toexperiment with their own playstyle or allow their Pawns to use weapons they normally wouldn’t be able to.
When installed and activated, this mod offers a couple of different options, all of which have to do with removing the Vocation restrictions on items, be it weapons or armor. This allows players to wear whatever armor they wantregardless of their current Vocation, but it also allows them to use whatever weapon they want with their current Vocation.

Keep in mind that Skills won’t work while the player is using a non-vocation weapon; they’ll just be able to basic attacks, but it does open the door to unique options. Say, for example,a Fighter playerwho brings a bow in their pack so they’re able to switch to said bow for flying enemies.
4NPC Hairstyles For Arisen And Pawns
Created by Jenya66
It’s another very small mod, but one that’s always welcome in any game with customizable characters, that, of course, being more hair options.
At the moment, this mod justreplaces specific hairstyle options with the hairstyles of specific NPCs(Wilhelmina, Disa, and Ulrika), but those three characters all have very unique hairstyles. Additionally, players can put these new hairstyles on their Pawns, leading to even more creative designs.

3Clock
Moving on to the first repeat mod creator on here, Xyzkljl1 also made the Enemies Drop Ferrystones mod, though this one is even more basic. Essentially, this mod justadds a clock to the UI in-gameso that players know what time it is and are able to tell at a glance how close they are to nightfall or daybreak.
Again, with Camping being able to skip the nighttime periods, this doesn’t make a huge difference. But, for timed quests, in particular, where it’s a bit risky to sleep through the night, this mod is a big help.

2True Warfarer
Created by SaintZou
As if the Warfarer wasn’t already enough of an absurd Vocation option, this mod by SaintZou makes it even more ridiculous. Essentially, while installed and activated, this mod allows players toset as many Skillset builds as they want.
Whenever they use Warfarer’s Rearmament Skill to switch between weapons, the Skillset tied to that weapon is automatically loaded and replaces the other 3 Skills besides Rearmament. To sum it up in a few words, it makes it so that Warfarer players really do just get to be all the other Vocations at the same time.

1Custom Difficulty Tweaks
Created by Talimity
Last up is one of the only mods on here that messes with the combat mechanics ofDragon’s Dogma 2, and it’s a mod thatmakes the game even harder.Basically, onceplayers really get a handle on the game’s combat, their Vocation, and how enemies react to their attacks, the game becomes pretty easy overall.
But, with this mod installed players have access to avariety of different options to make the game a bit more difficultfor themselves, ranging from increasing the damage players (and Pawns) take from enemies to increasing the buildup of the Loss Gauge in combat.
