TheGamingRevolution, the leaker who previouslyleaked the rumor that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer was being remastered,indicated that this may no longer be the case. According to the leaker, the multiplayer may not come for at least a long while.

The reason that players have not yet gotten the remastered multiplayer component of the game is that “the game is apparently very different to the originalModern Warfare 2and they’ve changed a lot of things, and they don’t think the community will like it.”
Further, TheGamingRevolution expressed a lack of knowledge on theremastered multiplayer’s potential release, though they understand that the multiplayer is still in its testing phase. However, they said it would be no surprise if it wasn’t at least a year until a potential release if that given the Activision and the developer’s theory that fans may not show the same sentiment toward it as the 2009 game’s multiplayer.
