The past few weeks have been quite eventful forCall of Duty Modern Warfarefans, with Sledgehammer building up the hype for the launch of the upcoming season by teasing an array of interesting additions. Apart from the release of four new 6v6 Multiplayer maps, including the likes of 6 Star, Emergency, Growhouse, and Tanked, one of the highlights of the update has been the arrival of the popularCapture the Flag mode inCall of Duty Modern Warfare 3. It is one of the classic game modes that first featured all the way back in 2004 as part ofCall of Duty: United Offensive. However, it seems like the game mode is not the only thing that is making a return.

In an official blog post, Activision reveals that a total of eightaftermarket parts will be making their way toCall of Duty Modern Warfare3as part of the Season 3 update. However, the one that has grabbed the attention of many fans is the Wardens, which is unlocked as part of a weekly challenge. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 Update Brings Back Model 1887 From MW2
This is by far one of the most awaited aspects ofSeason 3 forCall of Duty Modern Warfare 3fans, as the Models were some of the most used guns in the originalModern Warfaregames. In fact, the Akimbo weapons were so powerful that players could pretty much use them as snipers. However, that didn’t last forever since the weapons were eventually patched, with their range being considerably decreased to make them more balanced. Not only that, but the Akimbo attachment also reduced the range of the weapon even further, which ensured that the Model 1887 was no longer a part of the meta.
Despite the nerfs, the Model 1887 occupies a special place in the hearts of old schoolCall of Dutyfans. Over on Reddit, many are already stating that they would only use this weapon in the 2009 game, which speaks volumes about its popularity. However, many are skeptical that the modernized version might be nerfed quite a bit, which might take the fun out of it. Another interesting aspect pointed out by some fans is whether the aftermarket part will borrow the hip fire accuracy from the original gun, as the Model 1887 shined in that department, rivaling the likes of handguns such as the Desert Eagle. Amidst theongoing backlash around cheating inCall of Duty Modern Warfare 3, this highlight of the Season 3 Update has definitely got the community hyped.
