However, the one that has grabbed the attention of many fans is the Wardens, which is unlocked as part of a weekly challenge. Compatible with the Lockwood Mk2 Marksman Rifle, it basically converts the weapon into duel wield Model 1887 lever-action shotguns.

Not only that, but the Akimbo attachment also reduced the range of the weapon even further, which ensured that the Model 1887 was no longer a part of the meta.
Despite the nerfs, the Model 1887 occupies a special place in the hearts of old schoolCall of Dutyfans. Over on Reddit, many are already stating that they would only use this weapon in the 2009 game, which speaks volumes about its popularity. However, many are skeptical that the modernized version might be nerfed quite a bit, which might take the fun out of it. Another interesting aspect pointed out by some fans is whether the aftermarket part will borrow the hip fire accuracy from the original gun, as the Model 1887 shined in that department, rivaling the likes of handguns such as the Desert Eagle.
