Perhaps one of the most annoying things a gamer can face is spending a good number of hours on a game to only then have a bug stop them from being able to play again. ForDying Light 2, this fear became a reality rather quickly as the new game faced multiple problematic bugs and glitches since its launch. From problems withDying Light 2’sco-opto the map falling apart and allowing players to tumble through the world, there are a few major problems.

Techland’s latest zombie action RPG is a sequel to the popular firstDying Lightgame. Rather than leave its playerbase in the dark, Techland was quick to identify the problems withDying Light 2and update fans on how quickly they could be fixed. The problems were so bad at launch thatTechland encourage players to wait until the day one patch had launchedbefore playing. Now though, things are improving, asDying Light 2’sco-op mode has been improved. Now, another game breaking glitch is looking to be solved that left players constantly dying.

Reported by many players, the “death loop” bug instantly saw players die as soon as they loaded in toDying Light 2. This bug didn’t have any official fix either, instead players were advised to try reloading a previous save, but if that didn’t work then the only other option was to reload the game entirely. For some, this meant throwing away dozens of hours of progress with no way of getting that progress back. The bug doesn’t even allow for any gameplay in between deaths, unliketheDeathloopgameit is named after.

The “death loop” bug fix will reportedly work for both new players who may encounter the bug and those who have already had their game experience altered by it. However, there are numerous other problems withDying Light 2. After a delay to the game, many were hoping thatDying Light 2wouldn’t suffer as much from game-breaking bugs and glitches, yet the game will still need patches for some time to come it seems.
