The data is accurate as of Jul 15, 2025. Also, the start dates are based on each anime’s MyAnimeList profile. At this point, the Fall 2023 anime lineup is basically set in stone, and there will likely be no more changes moving forward.

Netflix & Hulu Fall 2023 Anime Lineup (& Other Platforms)
Hulu and Netflix might not be synonymous with currently airing anime, but they tend to have a few series per season. Fall 2023 is no exception, and both services have a few significant projects. For Hulu’s anime, these are shows that also fall under Disney+, but they are typically available on the former platform.Netflixgenerally takes a different approach than other streaming services since entire cours are dropped at a time rather than at a weekly rate.
Although small, Hulu’s selection for Fall 2023 is actually pretty good, with all four shows being worth watching. Despite coming off a poor season 2,The Rising of the Shield Herohas managed to rediscover its rhythm, producing a sequel that is far better than its immediate predecessor. While it has lost some luster compared to the original season,Spy x Familyis still a fun and reliable series with three lovable leads. The anime’s story could use some forward momentum, but it has some charm as an episodic lighthearted comedy.Tokyo Revengersseems to be nowhere near as popular in Western countries as it used to be, although the show still has its fans, and the Tenjiku Arc has been fine so far. Last but definitely not least,Undead Unluckoffers silly, over-the-top nonsense in the best possible way.
Netflix’s Fall 2023 shows are cut from a different cloth than the rest of the season’s offerings since they follow the subscription service’s binge-watch blueprint. As such, they are removed from weekly discussions and tend to be forgotten quicker than most of their contemporaries. That said, thePlutoadaptationwill almost certainly go down as one of 2023’s better anime, and the story was arguably complemented by Netflix’s one-and-done drop strategy. Series likeOnimushaandAkuma-kunare not quite as impressive, although they have their positives too.
Max has significantly stripped back its anime offerings, to the point of barely having anything of note anymore. However,FLCLfans interested in watching the new sequel,Shoegaze, will need to pick up a Max subscription since it is the only service showing the sci-fi anime.

Fall 2023 Anime With No Streaming Platforms (So Far)
Unfortunately, some Fall 2023 anime are without (Western) homes. Every season has a few shows that never announce streaming service, and while there are occasionally some surprises, most of these series would not really benefit from leaving Japan.
Kids' anime are prime examples of properties that do not leave their home country, and Fall 2023 has a couple of examples such asThe Diary of OchibiandMatsuinu. There are also a few more obscure anime likeBikkurimenthat seem unlikely to air on any streaming service since they have already debuted.
Realistically, the only Fall 2023 anime without a platform that might garner some attention in Western nations isThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus' Dream, a 3-part ONA side series based on the popular isekai anime. As the main show is on Crunchyroll, there is a chance that these episodes will eventually make their way to the service, although that has not proven to be the case so far.
