Until Dawn Remake file size for PlayStation 5 revealed

Updated July 25, 2025, by Tom Bowen:2024 has been a huge year for PC gamers when it comes to former PlayStation exclusive titles making their way over to the platform. Horizon Forbidden West was released for PC in March and was joined by Ghost of Tsushima just a few months later. God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16 followed in September, with the Until Dawn remake dropping at the beginning of the following month. There’s still no word on when exactly the Last of Us Part 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be arriving, but even without these three heavy hitters, there are still plenty of fantastic former PlayStation exclusives that can now be played on PC.

1Until Dawn

PC Metacritic Rating: tbd | PS4 Metacritic Rating: 79

Whether or not the world really needed anUntil Dawnremake is perhaps debatable, but there can be no denying that the game looks fantastic in Unreal Engine 5. Developer Ballistic Moon deserves an awful lot of credit, although as the UK studio was founded by former Supermassive Games developers, their careful craftsmanship was perhaps to be expected.

Until Dawnis one of the best horror games in recent memory and helped to popularize Supermassive Games' choice-based narrative-driven formula. Some may prefer a more action-oriented affair, but those just looking for a good old-fashioned frightfest have undoubtedly come to the right place.

2Ghost of Tsushima

PC Metacritic Rating: 88 | PS5 Metacritic Rating: 87

The success of the past few PlayStation consoles has been built firmly around console-exclusive games, most of which have been part ofpopular long-running franchiseslikeUncharted,God of War, andThe Last of Us. There’s still plenty of room for new IP though, as evidenced by the success and overall quality of Sucker Punch Productions’Ghost of Tsushima.

The game tells the story of Jin Sakai: a Samurai who is forced to forsake his honor to reclaim his homeland from the invading Mongol hordes. It offers an incredible blend of stealth and swordplay and one of the mostcaptivating video game storiesin recent memory. It’s for this reason that so many PC owners were so desperate to play it, and they finally got their wish in May of 2024.

3Returnal

PC Metacritic Rating: 86 | PS5 Metacritic Rating: 86

Taking place on the hostile alien planet of Atropos,Returnalis a futuristic sci-fi game from the team over at Housemarque. It was released for the PlayStation 5 in April of 2021 and proved to be a huge hit with both players and critics alike; going on to beat off strong competition from the likes ofDeathloopandIt Takes Twoto pick up the Best Game award at that year’s BAFTAs.

Interestingly, the completion rate forReturnalis actually pretty low when compared tosome of the other big PlayStation exclusives, but this is more down to the game’s high difficulty and roguelike elements than anything else. The gameplay loop is rock solid, though, and should appeal to those who are fans of the genre as well as anybody who enjoys games that use horror elements and desolate settings to evoke feelings of fear and isolation within their players.

4Helldivers

PC Metacritic Rating: 83 | PS4 Metacritic Rating: 81

BothHelldiversand its 2024 sequel are PlayStation exclusives. However, while the latter was released simultaneously for PS5 and PC, the original game was only available on PlayStation consoles for the first nine months following its release, with the PC port ofHelldiversnot arriving until December of 2015.

Unlike its sequel, which takes the form of a third-person shooter,Helldiversuses a top-down camera angle, thus offering up a very different experience than most other shooters on the market. It also supports couch co-op, which is noticeably absent fromHelldivers 2. They’re both great games in their own right though and can be a real blast when played with the right people.

7Final Fantasy 16

PC Metacritic Rating: 84 | PS5 Metacritic Rating: 87

Final Fantasy 16caught a fair amount of flack for how far it ended up straying from the series' tried and tested formula. However, this might not be such a bad thing for those who are new to the long-running franchise, as it plays a lot more like a modern action RPG than it does a more traditional Japanese role-playing game.

When it comes to story, though, Clive’s tale hasFinal Fantasywritten all over it, with crystals once again playing an important role in proceedings. That’s not to say that people will need to have played some of the earlier titles to understand what’s going on though, as, like mostFinal Fantasygames, the series' sixteenth installment serves as a standalone title.

Sony’s acquisition of the rights to Marvel’sSpider-ManIP has proven to be a stroke of genius, with the many movies and games released over the past decade or so having netted the company hundreds of millions of dollars. A significant portion of that can be attributed toMarvel’s Spider-Man, which many consider to be one ofthe best superhero games ever made.

The title started life as a PS4 exclusive, with a remastered version of the game later being made available with deluxe editions ofSpider-Man: Miles Morales. It was this version of the game that was released for Windows in August of 2022, bringing with it incredible ray-tracing support and a host of other improvements.

10Persona 5 Royal

PC Metacritic Rating: 95 | PS4 Metacritic Rating: 95

Following the Windows release ofPersona 4 Goldenin mid-2020, many felt that it was only a matter of time until the series' fifth installment followed suit and made its way onto PC. Thatit took more than two years for this to happenwas actually a little bit surprising, though there is that old saying about good things coming to those who wait.

Rather than the regular edition of the game,PC players were treated toPersona 5 Royal: an expended version with considerably more content for players to sink their teeth into. The game was also released on Xbox and Nintendo consoles at the same time, seemingly bringing an end to the long-running series' long-standing PlayStation exclusivity once and for all.
