Among the many Elemental Reactions inGenshin Impact, Vaporize and Melt are two of the strongest. Unlike Transformative Reactions that scale solely from Elemental Mastery and the character’s level, Vaporize and Melt instead amplify the original DMG. For example, if a Pyro DMG is initially 10k, it will be 20k on Melt and 15k on Vaporize. This means players can insanely increase the DMG of powerful single-target hits, like Childe’s Elemental Burst.

Vaporize happens when Hydro meets Pyro, which will double the original DMG. Meanwhile, Reverse Vaporize occurs when Pyro meets Hydro, which will multiply the DMG by 1.5. 5Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Albedo + Zhongli
This double-Geo Hu Tao was one of themost meta teams inGenshin ImpactbeforeYelanarrived. Hu Tao + Xingqiu is obviously an inseparable pair, which means players are left with two spots to fill. Some of the most common supports like Bennett are not popular with Hu Tao since players generally want to keep the Funeral Parlor Director at below 50% HP, so that’s where Zhongli comes in. The Geo Archon protects Hu Tao from any incoming attack without healing, which allows her to maintain a low HP. He also reduces the surrounding enemy’s RES by 20%, increasing the team’s overall DPS.
For the final slot, this team opts for a second Geo to activate the Geo Resonance. This Resonance is one of the strongestElemental Resonance inGenshin Impact, where players can gain a ton of value off it, such as:

4Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Yelan + Zhongli
Since applying Hydro on the enemy is crucial for Hu Tao to ensure her Charged Attack triggers Vaporize, doubling both Xingqiu and Yelan is not at all a bad idea. Because a team can only have a maximum of four characters, Albedo has to be replaced to make a slot for Yelan.

Unlike Xingqiu,Yelan is entirely offensiveand players will see significantly larger DMG than the Guhua Disciple deals. She even increases the active character’s DMG by 3.5% every second, up to 50%. This will make Hu Tao deal far higher DMG.
Additionally, combining Yelan and Xingqiu will trigger the Hydro Resonance, which increases the team’s HP by 30%. This addition is perfect for this team comp as Yelan, Hu Tao, and Zhongli all benefit from HP for their DMG. Xingqiu can even use this boost to increase his healing when his Burst expires.
3Yoimiya + Yelan + Yun Jin + Zhongli
Yoimiya has a normal ICD, which means she can only apply Pyro every 2.5s or 3 hits; she won’t be able to easily trigger Vaporize as Hu Tao does. Additionally, players also need to ensure her hit sequence isn’t interrupted. Not only doesYoimiya deal larger DMG with more hit sequences(especially on her final Normal Attack), but Vaporize will also be messed up if she gets interrupted.
Because of this,a reliable shielder is pretty much a necessity for her. Players won’t be able to get away with just a healer as dodging is not ideal for the Firework Queen.
When it comes to Yoimiya Vaporize team, there are two options; a Viridescent Venerer (VV) shred team, or the Geo Vape team. The former typically consists ofYoimiya+Xingqiu+Thoma+Kaedehara Kazuha. This team has a far larger DPS potential, but it’s also much harder to use and has a highly demanding investment. It’s also unforgiving of mistakes, so a poor use of the team will instead result in a lower DPS than the latter team. On the contrary, the Geo Vape is easy to use and doesn’t require much effort to pull off.
In short, players can use the VV team if they can fulfill all the demanding requirements and understand how to utilize it to its best potential. Otherwise, the Geo Vape Yoimiya is preferable as it’s more forgiving and easy to use.
2Childe + Sucrose + Mona + Bennett
This Childe team is mostly used for a DPS (DMG per screenshot) showcase as it allows the Fatui to deal massive DMG by using a specific rotation and equipment. Previously, Sucrose is utilized for the RES reduction and Elemental Mastery boost, but players can also opt for Kazuha now for his DMG bonus.

The idea of this team is that players willuse Childe to trigger Vaporizewhile Bennett, Mona, and Sucrose/Kazuha all support his DMG. Bennett increases ATK, Mona amplifies DMG with her Omen, Sucrose increases Elemental Mastery (which boosts Vaporize DMG), while Kazuha increases Hydro DMG Bonus.
1Xiangling + Ayato + Bennett + Kazuha
UnlikeYoimiya who suffers from ICD, Xiangling instead doesn’t have it. All of her Burst hits can effortlessly trigger Elemental Reaction, which means players can amplify her DMG immensely in a Melt/Vaporize team comp. Not only does it lack ICD, but Xiangling’s Burst can also snapshot, soBennett’sbuff will linger for the entire duration of her ultimate, which further boosts Xiangling’s DPS.
In this team,Ayato will provide Hydro for Xiangling to Vaporizefrom, along with being the main DPS and triggering some of the reaction himself. Meanwhile, Sucrose or Kazuha will reduce the enemy’s Pyro and Hydro RES while increasing both Xiangling and Ayato’s DMG via their Ascension Passive.
