Following the release of Neuvillette, aGenshin Impactplayer came up with a mod that turned the character into the adorableGen 1 starter Pokemon, Squirtle. Originally posted on Bilibili and shared via GenshinUniverse on Twitter, the video showed the Water-type Pokemon using Neuvillette’s Hydro attacks to blast Slimes and HIlichurls. According to the Bilibili video’s description, the player used Squirtle’sPokemon X and Ymodel, and utilized software like Blender and Adobe Photoshop to seamlessly add it in the game.
ManyGenshin Impactfans found the Squirtle mod hilarious, especially that fact it controlled Neuvillette’s abilities, down to his Ultimate. One player joked that Squirtle was the one that killed the Fontaine dragon. Coincidentally, many players also believe that Neuvillette’s true identity is the Hydro dragon because of the glowing horns on his head and the blue eye on his palm. This theory has not been confirmed in the game’s mainline story, and it might take a while before this is tackled.
Genshin Impactis currently at version 4.1, which introduced new chapters to the Fontaine Archon Quest and other major World Quests. Apart fromNeuvillette and Hu Tao, the banner for the first phase of 4.1 also features four-star characters Diona, Fischl, and Xingqiu. It’s safe to say that manyGenshin Impactfans have a lot of ground to cover in the Fontaine arc so far, and can expect more in future updates.
Meanwhile, those who managed to pull for Neuvillette have been busy building him and leveling him up to become a viable damage dealer for their teams. They also have to make sure that they’re not committing anymistakes while using Neuvillette’s Charged Attack and other skills.
Genshin Impactis out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
