AGenshin Impacttheory hints at a new weekly boss that could be featured in the Anemo region over the next couple of months. The release of a new major region is probably the most exciting event in the game’s community as it always introduces tons of new playable characters, enemies, and quests.

However,Genshin Impact’s first major region, Mondstadt, remains the favorite for a big number of players since it’s the place in which they started their journey. At the start of a new playthrough, players are spawned in the northern part of the region and they need to find their way to the City of Freedom where they meet a number of iconic characters such as Jean, Kaeye, and Jean.

The world of Teyvat contains many types of enemies, but Weekly Bosses are widely considered the hardest, excluding the Spiral Abyss domain. They allow players to collect special types of rewards that are used for ascending their characters' Active Talents.Every region inGenshin Impacthas its own Weekly Boss domains that feature different characters that have their tragic stories tied to that nation. A Reddit user named Lucas-mainssbu has shared an interesting theory about a new weekly boss on the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit which gathered almost 4k upvotes.

They have pointed out that Mondstadt is the only region in the game that does not feature a Weekly Boss that belongs to the infamous group named Fatui Harbingers. Even the recently added Sumeru region has aboss domain named Joururi Workshopthat features Wanderer who used to be known as Scaramouche or the 6th Fatui Harbinger. Lucas-mainssbu claims that Mondstadt’s next weekly boss will probably be one of the Harbingers.

Even though it was the first region in the game, Mondstadt is by far the smallest nation in the game at the moment and rumors claim that its current state only represents around 60% of the whole region. Over the last couple of months, a lot of credibleGenshin Impactleakers have been hinting thatMondstadt will receive a sizable expansionin the foreseeable future.

The expansion will apparently be to the north and players hope that the official storyline could finally introduce some legendary characters like theGrandmaster of the Knights Favonious named Varka, or Alice, the powerful mage known as the creator of the Teyvat Travel Guide.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
