Stadia has announced a new feature coming to its store. However, some people got distracted by Stadia’s screenshot which showed small snippets of other videogames. Although the screenshot shows mostly games that are already available on Stadia such as the latest installmentAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, there aretwoAssassin’s Creedtitlesthat are not available yet on this platform which made many wonder if this was an unwanted leak.
So far, Google has included five Assassin’sCreedtitles in Stadia. At the end of last year, Stadia announced thatAssassin’s Creed Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, andAssassin’s Creed Valhallawill all be available on Google’s platform.Assassin’s Creed Valhallahas become one of the platform’s most popular games alongsideCyberpunk 2077, according to Stadia’s webpage.

There are still some titles that are yet to make it to Stadia. However, when Stadia tweeted that a search bar will be added to Stadia’s store, users got to see more than the new feature. The image Stadia used in its tweet showed the top part of what appears to bethe posters ofAssassin’s Creed Black FlagandRevelations. However, none of those titles have been officially released in Stadia, which is why some users think this was an unwanted leak.
Even though there are many big titles available in Stadia so far, there are still several games that are yet to be ported to this platform. Several of Ubisoft’s most popular games have been ported to Stadia already, includingFar CryandWatch Dogs. However, with Ubisoft+, it is likely only a matter of time before the rest of the titles become available on Google’s gaming platform. Ubisoft+ offersStadia users access to over 100 titlesincluding some new releases and premium editions for a monthly fee.
It seems like Ubisoft’s relationship with Google has been growing stronger. Recently,Google paid Ubisoft millions of dollarsto port several of its titles to Stadia. This decision was criticized, as some thought Google should be encouraging and supporting indie developers instead of big corporations like Ubisoft.
HavingAssassin’s Creed Black FlagandRevelationsmight seem exciting for fans of the franchise. However, Stadia’s screenshot might be problematic for the company if Ubisoft did not want the public to know yet about these titles coming to Google’s platform. This could potentially hinderGoogle’s relationship with Ubisoft. On the other hand, it is possible that Ubisoft was aware of this and it was a premeditated decision to include that screenshot in order to hypeAssassin’s Creedfans.
