TheHalo InfiniteCampaign has been out for a week now, and while many have been enjoying themselves, others have been encountering some pesky bugs. 343 Industries has released a hotfix that should address some of these pressingHalo Infiniteissues, including syncing of campaign armor unlocks and buggy Achievement pops.
While theHalo InfiniteCampaign does not feature any new armor pieces, there are many other cosmetic items to be found in the many Mjolnir Armor Lockers spread across Zeta Halo. Unfortunately, if players accidentally dropped offline while playing the Campaign and stumble open one of these lockers, the cosmetic item within would not sync with their Armory, seemingly losing that piece to the void. Similarly inconvenient was the reported achievement delay byHalo Infiniteplayers, where players would not see their achievements popping up until significant amounts of time after they had completed the task. While most Achievements eventually would appear, they are obviously meant to display right as the player completes the task.

In the December 15 Hotfix, as 343 Industries is simply calling it, the company addresses the aforementioned Campaign issues plaguingHalo Infinite. Starting with the cosmetic unlocks, 343 Industries writes on the officialHaloSupport website, “MJOLNIR Armor Lockercustomizations collected in Campaign are now consistently unlocked in the Multiplayer Customization menu.” Furthermore, players who did not get their unlocks originally should have them after installing this update. As for Xbox Achievements, 343 Industries has made their completion simply more “reliable,” making it so they no longer track progress towards completion, “but will unlock as expected when their conditions are met.”
The hotfix also touches uponHalo Infinite’s problems with Xbox Series X/S’s Quick Resumefeature. Quick Resume works typically with little to no issue in non-online games, since the game does not have to connect to any server to track progress. In the case ofHalo Infinite, Quick Resume was not efficiently reconnecting the player online, which in turn could prevent players' progress from saving, like with the Armor Lockers. 343 Industries says, “Players should see quicker and more stable reconnections to our services,” in the notes of the hotfix.
While not necessarily game breaking, theseHalo Infiniteproblems lead to many aggravated and confused fans, wondering why their progress was not properly rewarding them. Good on 343 Industries to quickly push out an update that should mitigate these issues, though there is still plenty of other things that need to be addressed. For example, there is a bug that is causingplayers' save files to be corrupted inHalo Infinitewhen jumping between platforms or modes of inputs. Definitely do not want to be at the end of a Legendary Campaign run and have this happen.
Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
