Players are introduced to one of the group’s members early in the game, beginning aboard the Herta Space Station and meeting the massive ship’s master, Herta. Multiple events have also introduced players to other Genius Society members, including Ruan Mei and the robot Screwllum as co-creators of the Simulated Universe. Now, Ruan Mei is heavily rumored to be coming to the playable roster soon.

A recent leak shared by prominentHonkai: Star Railleaker Hamz has revealed theportrait for upcoming character Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei sports shoulder-length brown hair with light-blue inner highlights matching her eyes, with an elegant motif for the visible parts of her outfit design. The portrait is not the first time Ruan Mei has been visible, with the character previously appearing in the “Geniuses' Repose” Light Conealongside Herta and Screwllum. Ruan Mei is currently expected to launch withHonkai: Star Rail’s Version 1.6 update, believed to be releasing in early January.
While HoYoverse has yet to officially announce Ruan Mei’s impending release, leaks are already beginning to give players an idea of how she will play withinHonkai: Star Rail. Early reveals have suggested Ruan Mei willdebut as an Ice element characterin the Harmony Path, suggesting she may pair well with Herta as a fellow Ice character. The previously mentioned Screwllum is also heavily rumored to be debuting during Version 1.6 as an Imaginary Erudition character.
With rumors already beginning to swirl aboutHonkai: Star Rail’s Version 1.6, HoYoverse would recently begin to reveal the featured characters for November’s Version 1.5 update. The developer would confirmHuohuo as the first featured five-star characterdebuting in the update, introduced as a Wind Abundance character. HoYoverse is expected to reveal two more characters in the coming days, with leaks suggesting Argenti and Hanya will join Huohuo.Honkai: Star Railplayers have plenty to look forward to with a multitude of highly-anticipated characters on the way.
