No Rest for the Wickedsaddles players with a durability system that heavily punishes mistakes by reducing the durability of all equipped items every time the player dies or gets hit by an attack.
It becomes apparent very quickly that finding a way to repair equipment should be a priority for adventurers. Every weapon and piece of armor has a limited amount of durability that gradually goes down during a playthrough. The only way to restore durability is by repairing the item. For those unsure of how to do this, this guide will detailhow to repair itemsinNo Rest for the Wicked.

How Does Durability Work in No Rest for the Wicked?
Any time you take damage, a little bit of your weapon and armor’s durability goes down. If you die, either from enemy attacks or by fall damage, all equipped items lose durability. If one of the items players have equipped is nearly broken, an icon on the bottom right of the screen will show up in yellow to indicate this. This icon gets progressively darker the closer the item comes to reaching 0 durability.
Once an item’s durability reaches 0, it becomes unequippable and is automatically removed from the player’s avatar and placed in their inventory.Items that reach 0 durability will not breakand can still be repaired.

Players can repair items by talking toFillmore, the resident Blacksmith of Sacrament. Fillmore becomes available fairly early on in the game, even before reaching the main city. You’ll find him held captive by three Risen thugs in Mariner’s Keep, southwest of the main gate leading to Sacrament. Fillmore’s repair service is only available after playersdefeat the three enemy soldiersand free him.
A good strategy for fighting multiple enemies is using Scrap Bombs to deal area-of-effect damage. Use the door as a chokepoint and lure them into it to get them to clump up together. A large two-handed weapon or a one-handed weapon that naturally swings in a large arc are the best weapons to handle these foes. However, since loot is random, there is no guarantee that players will have obtained these weapons by the time they find Fillmore.

Once Fillmore is saved, talk to him, and he’ll give you theGate Lever Handleto unlock the path to Sacrament and offer his services as a Blacksmith. Select the ‘Repair’ option and choose either ‘Repair All’ to restore durability to all weapons and armor in your possession or ‘Repair Equipped’ to only restore durability to the equipment currently being used.
Fillmore will remain in this location and continue to offer basic blacksmith services until you defeatWarrick the Tornand clear the path. Once players enter Sacrament, Fillmore will also transfer over to the smithy in the Marketplace and start offering repair services there. As long as Fillmore remains outside Sacrament, he’ll offer repairs for free. Once he returns to his shop, it will start costing money. The more durability there is to restore, the higher the cost of repairs will be.
Alternatively, players can also useRepair Powder, a consumable that can repair a set amount of durability to all equipped items. Unfortunately, Repair Powder is a random drop from chests and isn’t a reliable resource.
Enchanting a piece of gear buffs that piece with four random stats by sacrificing gem slots. One of these buffs is called Indestructible, and it gives the enchanted item infinite durability.
