Apparently, the game will be out in time forFinal Fantasy 10’s next big anniversary, which would be in 2026. It’s entirely unclear at this point the extent of the remake or what else it will entail. If this leak is accurate, fans likely won’t get any concrete information for years.
Final Fantasy 10was the first main seriesFinal Fantasygame to hit PlayStation 2. It had cutting-edge graphics for the time, an engaging cast of memorable characters, and a fun battle system that both stuck withFinal Fantasy’s turn-based roots while employing some new ideas at the same time. It may not be as fondly remembered asFinal Fantasy 7, butFinal Fantasy 10is still incredibly popular, and it would make a perfect candidate for a remake.
As far as Im A Hero Too’s credibility goes, they have accurately leakedFinal Fantasynews and JRPG news in general. They leaked the existence of thePersona 3remake and its planned announcement at the Xbox Showcase on June 11, and they alsoleakedFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s release date delayto 2024. There’s still a chance that their information is inaccurate, though, especially since this supposedFinal Fantasy 10remake is still at least three years from launch.
Three years may seem like a long time to wait, but there should be no shortage ofFinal Fantasygames for fans to check out in the meantime.Final Fantasy 16releases later this month, whileFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthis set to launch in early 2024.
