The debut project of the California-based Paradox Tectonic,Life by Youhas been marketed as a life simulator that will let players take complete control of the characters they create. After its early access release was delayed twice, the game was finally set to become playable on June 4. PublisherParadox Interactive, however, has just announced thatLife by You’s launch has been postponed again.

In a recent statement, Paradox Interactive Deputy CEO Mattias Lilja explained that the early access release of thefeature-richLife by Youhas been delayed once more as the game needs more development time. The company has not committed to providing a new release window because it does not want to give out a date that it might not be able to meet, Lilja added. Those who pre-orderedLife by Youon the Epic Games Store will receive refunds, according to a FAQ for the game.
This is not the first time Paradox Interactive acknowledged that its upcoming life simulator would benefit from receiving more polish before being released. WhenLife by Youwas postponed for the second time in March, Paradox Tectonic General Manager Rod Humble said that the move would give his team extra time to make an early access launch smoother and more fun. Humble was the former label head ofThe Sims, which is getting a new installment in the form of thealready controversialProject Rene, also referred to asThe Sims 5.
