NetherRealm Studios has officially announcedMortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, a full-fledged expansion forMK11that adds new story content, stages, gameplay features, and perhaps most excitingly, three new playable characters to the game. TheMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathexpansion was first leakeda couple months ago, but it’s safe to say that few were expecting it to include quite this much content.
TheMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathexpansion will be available on May 26, and it will add three new playable characters to the game, all of whom were previously leaked by dataminers. Beginning May 26,Mortal Kombat 11players that purchase theAftermathexpansion can add Fujin and Sheeva to their roster of playable characters, along with special guest character and 80s action movie icon RoboCop.

Not only isRoboCop coming toMortal Kombat 11, but he will be played by Peter Weller. Weller portrayed RoboCop in both the original 1987 film and its 1990 sequelRoboCop 2, which should make theRoboCopDLC forMortal Kombat 11even more exciting for fans.
No other new DLC characters were confirmed byNetherRealmwith theMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathannouncement. However, it was revealed that the game will be adding three more character skin packs at some point down the line. Details on what exactly those character skin packs will entail are unavailable at the time of this writing, but fans should be able to expect more information in the weeks and months ahead.
By releasing three new DLC characters toMortal Kombat 11at once, it seems likerumors of a Kombat Pack 2were incorrect. It seems unlikely that NetherRealm is planning on releasing even more DLC characters forMortal Kombat 11, so fans shouldn’t get their hopes up that Ash Williams fromEvil Deadwill be coming to the game as has been rumored for quite some time.
In the meantime, it will be interesting to see how theMortal Kombat 11RoboCop DLC stacks up when compared to other guest fighters that have been released for the game. RoboCop joins the likes ofThe Terminator, The Joker, and Spawn, so fan expectations have been set pretty high. Luckily, with all three DLC characters seemingly coming toMortal Kombat 11on May 26, fans only have to wait a few weeks to find out more.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermathwill launch on May 26 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
