Mortal Kombat 11recently pulled the curtain back on itsAftermathDLC expansion, which is set to add new story content to the popular fighting game alongside three DLC characters. Among the newMortal Kombat 11DLC fighters is RoboCop, and it’s now been confirmed exactly who will be providing the voice for RoboCop in the game.

Mortal Kombat 11game director Ed Boon has confirmed on Twitter thatPeter Weller will be voicing RoboCop inMortal Kombat 11. For the uninitiated, Weller portrayed RoboCop in the original 1987 movie as well as the 1990 sequelRoboCop 2. Weller previously returned to the RoboCop role for the 2014 mobile gameFamily Guy: The Quest for Stuff, but this is the first time that Weller has played RoboCop in a serious role in 30 years. Needless to say, this should be a significant moment for fans of theRoboCopfranchise as well asMortal Kombat 11.

BesidesFamily Guy: The Quest for StuffandMortal Kombat 11,Peter Wellerhas provided voice work for another video game project. The well-received 2017 virtual reality horror gameWilson’s Heartalso featured Peter Weller’s voice, with Weller taking on the role of title character Robert Wilson.

With the confirmation thatMortal Kombat 11is featuring RoboCop, it seems as though some of the DLC character leaks were true. However, there are still otherMortal Kombat 11DLC leaks that have yet to be confirmed. Perhaps the biggest is the leak that claimedAsh Williams fromEvil Deadwould be coming to the game, but that no longer seems to be the case. Dataminers have found evidence that Ash was meant to be inMortal Kombat 11at some point, though it seems as though the deal must have fell through for one reason or another. Then again, it’s possible Ash is still coming toMortal Kombat 11eventually, but fans will just have to wait a bit longer.

In the meantime, RoboCop will be joined by two other previously leaked characters when theMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathexpansionlaunches on May 26.Mortal Kombatfans can look forward to adding Fujin and Sheeva to their roster later this month.

TheMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathexpansion may very well be the last major content update thatMK11gets, but if so, the game is going out with a bang. Along with DLC characters and new story content, fans will also be able to get their hands on classicMortal Kombatstages re-imagined for the new game, theFriendship feature, and much more.
