This detail is almost certainly a teaser for something – and considering Season 12’s new hero is codenamed Space Ranger, many players believe they could be connected.

On the other hand, some fans wonder if this meteor is actually a teaser for theupcomingOverwatch 2xTransformerscollab. The Transformers arrive on Earth similarly in most continuities – more specifically in the United States, further suggesting a connection due to the selective nature of this new easter egg. If it is a reference to this upcoming event, players can expect to learn more before July 9, when the collaboration is set to begin.
