Fans can dress up the Phantom Thief member Ann Takamaki/Panther in some new outfits based on PlatinumGames’Bayonettaseries, thanks to a new mod forPersona 5 Royal. Last year, the seminal JRPG was ported to multiple platforms, which includes long-requested ports to systems like the Nintendo Switch and PC. With an active fanbase that is as big as thePersonaseries, there’s also a huge community that is dedicated to modding the games. This includes the vanilla and thePersona 5 Royalre-release, with the PC version allowing for this community to also grow.
Persona 5 Royalmods on PC have come in a lot of different kinds, with many changing various aspects of the game. This includes new costumes, music, reworked mechanics, or even new Personas. One mod even made afemale version of Jokerthat players can go through the game as, which includes a new romance route, voice clips, and costumes. This new mod for the game turns fellow party member Panther or Ann Takamaki into Bayonetta of the titularBayonettaseries.

This mod was posted to Gamebanana by a modder known as DniweTamp on the website. This mod replaces the various costumes Ann wears in-game with a variety ofoutfits that Bayonetta has wornthroughout the series. This includes Bayonetta’s default outfits from theBayonettatrilogy, along with some of her formal and casual clothing in the first and third games. There’s also a rather strange and off-putting costume that has Ann dressed up in a giant Kirby costume.
This mod doesn’t just give Ann a cosmetic change with these costumes but rather changes other aspects of her character model as well. This includes custom rigging for these costumes, physics, and even a shadow that has one of the demons that Bayonetta can summon. It also changes Ann’s idle animation to be the ones from theBayonettaseries, along with Ann’s weapons turned intoBayonetta’s signature gunsand the Kulshedra whip weapon from the series.
DniweTamp has done a bunch of mods for bothPersona 5 RoyalandBayonetta 3, with their first crossover mod between these two series being Bayonetta’s casual clothes from the third game over Ann. Other mods that Dniwe has created include one that replaces Ryuji Sakamoto withDenji fromChainsaw Man, or even Sonic the Hedgehog over Joker.
