Summary
Eevee has always been one of the most popular creatures within the world ofPokemon, and one artist from the franchise’s community has created a “mecha” variant of the Pokemon which adds a metallic twist to Eevee’s design. Eevee, literally identified as the Evolution Pokemon in the Pokedex, has eight total evolutionary forms of different types, so it’s no surprise that the Pokemon’s considerable potential has been leveraged byPokemonfans over the years to inspire countless unofficial variants of the species.
With there being a total of 18 known regular Pokemon types, only half of the type roster is actually used throughout the Eevee family as a whole. While the possibility of new Eeveelutions being introduced in the future warrants an entirely different conversation in itself, one which has already come up countless times within thePokemoncommunity in the past, it’s certain that fans have plenty of their own ideas as to what new Eeveelutions could look like. Fan artists from thePokemoncommunity havecreated many Eevee variantsof their own over the years, with some of these designs built upon types such as Poison, and others inspired by different Pokemon species altogether.

One creative member of thePokemoncommunity has created something a little bit different, though. Made and shared online by the digital artist known as Xezeno across most social media platforms, their “Mecha Eevee” design shows off their interpretation of Eevee as a robotic construct rather than a living being. While the overall form, coloration, and size of this mechanical Pokemon are in line with the Eevee that fans know and love, its metallic armor plating and embedded lights give the design an eerie, inorganic twist. Some fans might associate this kind of design with theParadox Pokemon seen inPokemon Violet, which likely serves as inspiration for much of this artist’s work.
WhilePokemon Scarlet and Violetdid introduce a ton of new Pokemonas well as new regional forms for existing ones, Gen 9’s concept of Paradox Pokemon is what really made the difference to some creative fans of the franchise. With Paradox Pokemon essentially representing existing Pokemon with wildly different visual designs based on both prehistoric and futuristic aesthetics, artists quickly began coming up with new Paradox forms for their own personal favorites.
When it comes to Eevee, however, a number ofPokemonfans have recently begun theorizing that a Dragon-type Eeveelution may yet be introduced in a futurePokemontitle. While the foundation of this speculation consists of many different ideas, one of which being the rumor that a Dragon-type Eeveelution was originally intended to be introduced in theScarlet and Violetgames, many are hoping to see such a Pokemon make a debut in whatever titlesThe Pokemon Company may have planned for 2024- the year of the Dragon.
