The latestPokemon Scarlet and Violetgames have seen countless memes of their own since they launched, but one fan is able to recreate a well-known image in the Generation 9 games thanks to their recentPokemon HOMEcompatibility.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetsaw the introduction of countless new Pokemon, and although the total roster of critters in thePokemonworld now exceeds 1,000, the ability to transfer betweenPokemon HOMEallows fans to reunite with many old favorites.

As the highest-grossing media franchise of all time, it’s no surprise that countlessmemes have arisen from thePokemonseries. Between the games, the anime, and even just the Pokemon themselves, there’s seemingly no end to the images and quotes that have become embedded within pop culture in perpetuity. One of the most well-knownPokemonmemes constantly tossed around on social media comes from thePokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moongames, featuring Maxie’s Groudon facing a Rowlet named Harold in battle. The ridiculous image is only made better by the blank expression on Harold’s face as he looks back to his Trainer for help.

Considering the popularity of this image, it was only a matter of time before thePokemoncommunity managed to recreate the scene inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. This was recently achieved thanks to the ability to obtain Groudon in the Generation 9 games and was shared in a post on Reddit by the user MiniVEVO. The post shows the Rowlet known as Harold facing off against Groudon once again, though this time not staring back at the Trainer like in the original image.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwere finally made compatible withPokemon HOMEat the end of May, after the feature was delayed, and allows Trainers to transfer their Pokemon to the Paldea region from previous games.

This long-awaited feature makes it possible tobring most Pokemon toPokemon Scarlet and Violet, though players should be aware that there are some species that still can’t be brought to thePokemongames available on the Switch. AlthoughPokemon Scarlet and Violethave had countless issues since they were released, the absence ofPokemon HOMEconnectivity for more than half a year was certainly one of the community’s biggest gripes with the Generation 9 titles.

Even with DLC on the way in the form ofThe Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetcontinue to suffer from a number of bugsand performance issues that have plagued the games since launch. Several patches dropped in the time since have done little to address these problems, and while fans finally received a better look atThe Teal MaskandThe Indigo Diskexpansion packs at the recent Nintendo Direct event, fans are doubtful that these future DLC packs will rectify the graphical and performance issues present in the games.
