Pokemon GOis constantly keeping the game updated with various timed events that bring forth a series of mechanics for players to utilize. From participating in special Raids to completing Research Tasks to earn rewards and encounters, there is usually something for all Trainers to enjoy.
On June 07, 2025,Pokemon GOwill be runninga 12-hour event titled ‘An Excellent Opportunity.'- an event that focuses on making Excellent Throws during encounters withwild Pokemon. For this reason, knowing the Research that will be available and tasks that are to come during this event will be very helpful to know in advance, letting you plan your approach to the event ahead of time.
Pokemon GO: An Excellent Opportunity Event Details & Bonuses
Pokemon GO’sAn Excellent Opportunity event goes live onApril 1, 2024, andwill run between 12 AM and 11:59 PM, local time. During this event, a special bonus will be put in place,turning any throws that are Nice Throws or better, intoExcellent Throws. To reflect this event bonus, much of the Field Research Tasks and Timed Research also revolves around achieving Excellent Throws and can be completed to gain a variety of rewards.
As this event is only available for one day, the Research Tasks are thankfully kept pretty simplistic and easy to complete. For this reason, you should have no problems obtaining these rewards, as all of these Tasks can be achieved during regular wild encounters. If you’re unable to head out and about or need some extra wild Pokemon to provide you with encounters and tally up your Excellent Throws, thenstocking up on some Incensemay be helpful.
