Pokemon GOis a game that is all about getting out and exploring real world locations with other local players, so it’s no surprise the game is having to make somemajor adjustments in response to the social distancing protocolsrelated to the coronavirus.

PoGOalreadydelayed the upcoming Abra Community Day eventthat was scheduled for the weekend of March 15, but that’s not the only change.Pokemon GOis also bringing Cobalion and Lugia back outside of the originally announced Legendary Raid Weekend hours to make sure trainers have enough time to try and complete the encounters.

This change should help ensure that Battle Raid fans have some extra time to coordinate parties for taking down both Cobalion and Lugia safely and without putting themselves in danger. The original events were pretty limited in terms of time, so the extra days should make it make easier to find the time to revisit these old Legendary Raid Bosses.

“Cobalion and Lugia are returning to Raid Battles inPokemon GO! We want to make sure Trainers have enough time to challenge these Legendary Pokemon, so both will be available for a longer time in raids. Please note the change in schedule below.”

Cobalion will be available to challenge in Raid Battles from Tuesday, Jun 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, July 08, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). You’ll also have a chance to encounter Cobalion as a GO Battle League reward encounter during this time!

Lugia will be available to challenge in Raid Battles from Tuesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, June 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). You’ll also have a chance to encounter Lugia as a GO Battle League reward encounter during this time!

If you are lucky, you might encounter Shiny Cobalion and Shiny Lugia!
