Summary
Pokemon GOfans are reluctant to buy the GO Fest ticket early and are urging others to do the same, as the Eggs-travaganza event doesn’t specify by what amount the shiny chances are increased in 7km eggs. The Eggs-travaganza event was recently announced by Niantic exclusively forPokemon GOplayers who bought the GO Fest 2024: Global ticket.
While the GO Fest is one of the most anticipated events of the year forPokemon GOfans, things haven’t been going well for Niantic lately. For instance, theAquatic Paradise inPokemon GOdrew a lot of flakfrom the community for its potential change to event spawns. Now it seems like fans are unhappy about yet another event.

In a new post on thePokemon GOsubreddit, user Entire_Pineapple4732 reveals why players should refrain from buying the GO Fest ticket early. The user posted a picture of the newly announced Eggs-travaganza event, highlighting that although the event promises increased chances of gettingshiny Pokemon from 7km eggs inPokemon GO, there are no numbers stated, which makes things quite dubious. Stating that long-time players would be well aware of this fact given prior experiences, they warn newcomers to be wary of the event.
Pokemon GO Fans Circle Back To Larvesta Fiasco
OtherPokemon GOfans echoed similar sentiments, with manyrecalling the Larvesta fiasco inPokemon GO. Many players have been eagerly looking forward to hatching Larvesta for a while now, but they have been in for a disappointment. While many expected the debut of the shiny variants of Larvesta and Volcarona would somewhat improve their odds, it still turned out to be a nightmare for players. Some players even ended up hatching over 50 eggs without getting a Larvesta, which is quite a lot considering how long it takes.
This is the second event in a row that has irked the fanbase. The highly anticipated return of Mega Rayquaza as part of Elite Raids didn’t go down well in the community as well. Initially, fans were unhappy that the free Meteorite inPokemon GOwas tied to a TikTok follower milestone. While the goal was met, getting the reward still required players to win Elite Raids, which is something that locked out players who couldn’t take part in one. With GO Fest 2024: Global right around the corner, it remains to be seen whether Niantic is able to turn things around.
