Reddit user Main_Friendship732 posted their finished project without any description about the process behind it. This is something that didn’t go unnoticed in the comments, although some speculated that it might have been 3D printed. Regardless, while it may not be as ambitious assome otherSkyrimfan projects, the model’s design does look extremely spot on, and it appears to fit perfectly in the user’s hand. Likewise, many fans in the comment section were very impressed with what they saw, cracking jokes about how it was obtained or even quoting some of the in-game dialogue surrounding the Skeleton Key.
InSkyrim,the Skeleton Key is one of several keysthat players can come across. It is one of the most useful items in the game. It is only obtainable near the end of the Thieves Guild questline, but is only meant to be temporary and has to be returned in order for the quest to be marked complete. However, it can be kept permanently if the player simply refuses to return it. Eventually, players can render the Skeleton Key obsolete by unlocking the “Unbreakable” perk on the lockpicking skill tree, but keeping it will at least make picking locks more visually interesting. For players who value marking every quest as complete, they can still possess a Skeleton Key in some form regardless.

WithThe Elder Scrolls 6confirmed to be in development as of 2021, it’s basically a given that such dedication will carry over into that game’s fanbase, regardless of how well it does compared to its predecessor.
