PopularTwitchstreamers Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo and Maya Higa broke up back in September, but drama surrounding the break up continues to spread as Maya leaves Mizkif’s Texas home. Because of her paranoia about Mizkif and Emily “Emiru” Schunk growing closer, Maya voiced her frustrations before apologizing to them both live on stream.
The situation between Maya, Mizkif, and Emiru is a complicated one as Maya and Mizkif used to be an item and Maya only recently moved out of the One True King house. Because it took several weeks for Maya to move, she became emotional as Emiru and Mizkif began streaming onTwitchtogether more and Mizkif’s fans started calling Emiru the new Maya. After Emiru moved in with Mizkif earlier than expected due to fears concerning a stalker, Maya discussed the situation with friends and fellow Twitch streamers who encouraged her to go public with her story.

Although both Maya and Mizkif stated that there were no hard feelings between the two when theTwitch streamers split up, it didn’t take long for some problems to come up as Maya moved out and Emiru moved in. Upon going public with her story, Maya joined Mizkif’s Twitch viewers in thinking that the Twtich streamer was replacing her with Emiru. Maya discussed with fellow streamers the similarities between her and Emiru, noting their hobbies, their personalities, and their Asian backgrounds as examples.
Mizkif and Emiru are not confirmed to be dating, but it seems like Maya and some of her fellow Twitch streamers think Mizkif was wrong to move another girl into theOne True King Twitchcontent house so soon after Maya’s departure. Although she’s upset about the situation, Maya has stated that she wishes Emiru well at the One True King home and doesn’t want to hurt anyone else with her own feelings. Many of these feelings stem from the fact that Maya thought Mizkif was moving on from their relationship too soon, while Mizkif has yet to admit that he’s moving on from Maya or that he and Emiru are more than friends.
During her apology to Emiru and Mizkif, Maya claimed that she shouldn’t have discussed the situation between the two with her Twitch community. “That is 100% on me and I’m sorry for that,” said a distraughtMaya during a recent Twitch livestream. “I’m sorry to Emi and I’m sorry to Miz for talking about it in the first place because they didn’t want any part of this. I didn’t want this either, but it’s my fault and I’m sorry that it’s spiraled into what it has.”
Maya’s tearful apology shows that although she’s sorry for creatingTwitch drama between her, Emiru, and Mizkif, she still feels very emotional about the breakup with Mizkif. She admitted that she should’ve known just how quickly the situation could spiral out of control given how long she’s been on Twitch, but it’s something that slipped her mind in the heat of the moment. Emiru is currently living at the One True King Twitch content house while Maya has moved into a Texas apartment.
