Summary
AValheimplayer has created an impressive castle that has nearly everything a Viking would need in one place. Since the game was released,Valheimfans have created impressive monuments and unique bases, but this castle is a combination of both.
Iron Gate Studio continues to evolve on the foundations ofValheimas the community anticipates a full release. Despite being in early access,Valheimhas set impressive player countsand still has a thriving audience. As players advance from one biome to the next, they unlock access to more materials for their weapons, armor, and builds. The Hammer mode is essentially this game’s version of creative, offering players limitless materials to express their creativity with. Using building skills improved across the initial biomes, one player has made an incredible Plains castle full of workstations and decorations.

Reddit user N0rdicBuilder recently shared 20 images of their castle set intheValheimPlainsto highlight every possible angle. The castle includes a central keep, a dock with two boats, multiple gardens, and multiple towers connected by an outside wall. Inside the castle is a chest room, an armory, a kitchen, a dining room, a workshop, a trophy room, bedrooms, a forge hall with workbenches, an Anvil, a Spinning Wheel, and signs that make navigating it a little easier. The armory has nearly every set of armor from the game displayed, while the trophy room has some wall-mounted heads of creatures that players may encounter. Flags are placed around the castle, while there are also Sharp Stakes around the exterior of the base and a moat that separates it from the Plains.
How Was This Castle Built?
According to N0rdicBuilder, they’re using a Vanilla version ofValheim, with one exception. The player has utilized a modifier to build their base without costing resources. The gamer has also raised the ground underneath this castle to ensure that it stands taller than anything around it, and placed Iron Posts in the ground to anchor the stone. Compared towood types inValheim, stone can be quite picky with the physics behind it, making the Iron Posts an easy workaround. In many cases, the interior uses workstations and craftable items for decoration, highlighting the Reddit user’s attention to detail.
As Iron Gatecontinues to add toValheimwith updates, N0rdicBuilder may expand on their castle concept in the future. Given that hostile mobs periodically raid bases, a castle like this could be nearly impenetrable to the attacking enemies.
