InWarhammer: Vermintide 2players can choose from five different playable characters, each of whom have access to at least threeclasses. While the first class available to each character is available from the start, the next two require the player to unlock them through gameplay.

Each class offers a different playstyle via a set of perks, a passive ability, and a career skill, which range from charges that plow through enemies to explosive displays of magical might.Unlocking a classinWarhammer: Vermintide 2often requires players to get to a certain level with the associated character before they become available, with only the first and fourth class option for each character breaking this rule.

Victor Saltzpyre

The Witch Hunter from the original Vermintide game returns with four available classes, consisting of the Witch Hunter Captain, Bounty Hunter, Zealot, and Warrior Priest of Sigmar.

Witch Hunter Captain

Victor’s default class,unlocked from the beginning of the game, allows him to push back enemies while buffing his allies via the Animosity Career Skill. It also debuffs tagged enemies with the Witch Hunt passive skill, boosting any damage they take, and grants him improvements to critical hits.

Additionally, it doesn’t cost him anything to block light attacks thanks to his other passive skill, Eternal Guard. His Killing Shot passive allows him to instantly kill Man-Sized enemies using critical hit headshots, and he also has two hidden passive skills that boost his headshot damage and critical hit chance.

Witch Hunter Captain_Vermintide 2

Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter is the first unlockable class for Victor, becoming available as soon as he reaches level 7 andoffering him a class specializing in ranged combat.With Locked and Loaded he can fire a powerful piercing shot that tears through multiple enemies, allowing him to deal with hordes alongside stronger and more dangerous units.

Meanwhile, Blessed Shots guarantees him a ranged critical hit every 10 seconds, while Ammo Pouches ensures he always has plenty of ammo to spare for his attacks. The skill Quick Release further enhances ranged combat by increasing his reload speed by 15%.

Bounty Hunter_Vermintide 2

Zealot

The second unlockable class for Victor and his melee-focused setup, Zealot is unlocked once he reaches level 12. With Holy Fervour he can charge forward through enemies while buffing his attack speed by 25% for 5 seconds, and Fiery Faith rewards him for getting in melee range by boosting his power by 5% for every 25 points of health he’s missing.

Heart of Iron makes him more survivable by allowing him to resist death when he’s about to take lethal damage, though this can only trigger once every 90 seconds. He also has Unswerving Strikes, which allows him to become impossible to interrupt with damage while performing heavy attacks.

Zealot_Vermintide 2

Warrior Priest Of Sigmar

The final class available to Victoris the Warrior Priest of Sigmar, which requires players to purchase the DLC of the same name before it can be used. This class is a tanky support role that can imbue Victor or an ally with a Shield of Faith (which is also the name of the Career Skill), rendering them immune to damage for 5 seconds before exploding and damaging nearby enemies.

Righteous Fury causes Victor to amass fury when enemies die near him, and reaching 100% fury allows his attacks to smite foes for 20% of his damage. Fury eventually runs out when he is not actively engaging in combat, but even without it he gains a 30% power boost against Chaos Warriors and Beastmen Standard Bearers thanks to his Enemy of Chaos passive skill. He also has 100% curse resistance thanks to Incorruptible.

His final passive skill, Implacable, mitigates incoming damage by reducing all damage taken by 20%, but then dealing that missing 20% as damage over time over the next 3 seconds. What makes this even more useful is that damage dealt to him by this passive skill can never reduce his health to zero, so it can save him from otherwise lethal amounts of damage.

Warrior Priest of Sigmar_Vermintide 2

Markus Kruber

A former soldier of the Empire, Markus Kruber returns in this game with four classes to choose from, consisting of Mercenary, Huntsman, Foot Knight, and Grail Knight.

Mercenary

Markus' default class, Mercenary, is available from the start of the game.It’s a melee-focused classthat can stagger enemies with his Morale Boost skill while also giving his allies 25 temporary health. It also gains 10% increased attack speed for 6 seconds after hitting three enemies with a single swing due to the Paced Strikes passive skill.

Hitting the Sweet Spot allows his attacks to cleave through a greater number of enemies, while No More Laughin' Now! gives him an improved chance of landing critical hits.

Mercenary_Vermintide 2

Huntsman

Markus' first unlockable class, Huntsman, becomes available at level 7. It is a ranged combat class that focuses on precise shots and critical hits. With his Career skill “Hunter’s Prowl” he can vanish from sight for up to 6 seconds, during which time any shots fired with his ranged weapon deal bonus damage and reloading does not cost ammo. He also recovers 1 unit of ammo whenever he lands a headshot thanks to Waste Not Want Not, and Poacher’s Mark doubles the effective range of his ranged weaponry.

Deep Pockets gives him the ability to carry 50% more ammunition, so he can keep up the attack, while his Call Out Weakness passive skill grants him an aura that boosts critical hit chance in the surrounding area.

Huntsman_Vermintide 2

Foot Knight

Markus' second unlockable class, Foot Knight, is unlocked when he reaches level 12.It is also the class used when playing as him during the game’s prologue.This is a tank class that can charge through enemies using Valiant Charge, knocking them back and creating some breathing room. Protective Presence reduces damage taken by Markus and nearby allies by 15%, while No Guts, No Glory reduces damage he takes by 10%. Thanks to Taal’s Fortitude he also gains an extra stamina shield, making him better at blocking.

Grail Knight

Markus' final class is the Grail Knight, which is unlocked by purchasing the DLC of the same name. It’s a melee/tank hybrid class that can slice through enemies in front of it for tremendous damage using the Blessed Blade Career Skill, while the Bastion of Bretonnia passive skill allows him to block Warpfire thrower attacks that would easily eat through other classes.

Knight’s Challenge allows him to deal 25% more damage to the first enemy he hits, Thirst for Glory boosts his movement speed by 10%, and The Lady’s Duty adds two random bonus objectives to a mission that buff the party when completed.

Sienna Fuegonasus

Sienna the Bright Wizard returns from the original Vermintide with three powerful classes that demonstrate her magical might, consisting of the Battle Wizard, Pyromancer, and Unchained.

Battle Wizard

Sienna’s default class, accessible from the beginning of the game, is the Battle Wizard. It allows her to vent all of her overheat gauge (built up when using her staves) automatically if she hasn’t cast a spell for 6 seconds with the passive skill Tranquility. It grants her the Career Skill Fire Walk, which allows her to teleport a short distance forward creating a trail of fire between her start point and end point, the passive skill Reckless Haste which enhances her spell charging speed based on how much overheat she has currently built up, and thepassive skill Pyromantic Surge to increase ranged damage by 10%.

Pyromancer

Unlocked at level 7, the Pyromancer class is another ranged class which can fire a fiery projectile that seeks out foes via The Burning Head Career Skill. Critical Mass boosts her critical hit chance based on how much overheat she currently has, while Searing Focus improves all her ranged damage by 10%. This makes the Pyromancer a specialist in single target damage dealing via her ranged staves.

Unchained

Unchained is Sienna’s third class, which unlocks at level 12 and serves as her tankiest class. It revolves aroundconverting damage taken into Overcharge via Blood Magic, gaining improved melee power from Overcharge via Unstable Strength, and dodging the negative effects of a high overload meter using Slave to Aqshy.

All this builds up to the use of her Career Skill, Living Bomb, which allows her to cause a huge AOE detonation centered on herself that clears her Overcharge bar.

Bardin Goreksson

Bardin the Dwarf Ranger from Vermintide 1 gains access to four classes in this game, these being Ranger Veteran, Ironbreaker, Slayer, and Outcast Engineer.

Ranger Veteran

Ranger Veteran is Bardin’s first class, which is available from the start and is a ranged class. It gives him access to the Career Skill Disengage, which drops a smoke bomb that conceals him from enemies for 10 seconds while he’s inside it. It also increases the power of his ranged attacks by 50% and staggers enemies around him when deployed.

The Survivalist Passive Ability allows him to gain additional ammo whenever a special enemy dies since they’ll drop ammunition pickups on death, Loaded for Battle allows him to carry 50% more ammo, and Fast Hands lets him reload 15% faster. Finally,his Ingenious Improvisation Passive Ability grants him a 10% chance to not use up a potion, grenade, or pack of healing supplies when he uses them.

Foot Knight_Vermintide 2

Ironbreaker

Ironbreaker becomes available at level 7, serving as Bardin’s tank class. It allows him to equip Drakefire Pistols and Drakeguns, powerful ranged weapons. It grants the Impenetrable Career Skill, which taunts nearby man-sized enemies while boosting his defense and allowing him to block for free for the next 10 seconds. His Passive Skill Gromril Armour allows him to completely negate one hit every 20 seconds, while Dwarf-Forged reduces all damage he takes by 30%. Doughty grants him an extra stamina shield to help him block attacks, and Resilient halves the time he’s stunned after getting hit.

Slayer

Slayer becomes available at level 12 as a melee damage dealer class. It allows Bardin to use Leap to jump toward a target, stunning them whileboosting his attack speed by 30%for 10 seconds. Trophy hunter grants him a 10% damage buff whenever he hits an enemy which stacks three times and lasts for 2 seconds, while Path of Carnage increases his attack speed by 7.5% all the time. Drengi Grit allows him to perform charged attacks without being interrupted by incoming damage.

Outcast Engineer

Requiring players to purchase the DLC of the same name, Outcast Engineer is a ranged class that can unleash a custom Steam-Assisted Crank Gun using its Career Skill, a deadly battling contraption that can dish out serious damage.

He has to recharge it manually using his Build Pressure passive ability, but he can also carry 50% more ammo for all ranged weapons thanks to Gunsmith. Spotter lets him boost the ranged power of nearby allies by 10%, and Utility Belt lets him carry up to 3 bombs at once.

Kerillian

The Elf Waywatcher returns with four new classes: Waystalker, Handmaiden, Shade, and Sister of the Thorn.

Waystalker

Waystalker is Kerillian’s first class, available from the start. A primarily ranged class that can unleash a volley of homing arrows using the Trueshot Volley Career Skill, while carrying 100% extra ammo due to Arrow-Storm. Waywatcher’s Bow doubles her effective range, and Asrai Vigil lets her zoom with ranged weapons for greater accuracy. Amaranthe allows her to regenerate 3 health every 10 seconds when she’s below half health.

Handmaiden

Kerillian’s second class, unlocked at level 7, is a dodge tank classthat can use Dash to move through enemiesand inflict bleed on unarmored foes. The Dance of Seasons improves her dodge distance by 15%, Renewal grants an aura that increases stamina regeneration by 100%, and Ariel’s Benison increases her revive speed by 50% while healing her for 20 health whenever she revives an ally. She also has an unlisted passive that gives her +1.0 stamina.

Shade

Shade is her third class, unlocked at level 12. It’s a melee assassin class that allows Kerillian to disappear and pass through enemies for 5 seconds using the Infiltrate Career Skill. This also guarantees a critical hit and increases the damage multiplier if a melee attack is used while it is active. Murderous Prowess causes critical hit backstabs to instantly slay any man-sized enemy, and Assassin’s Blade boosts her melee damage from behind enemies by 50%. She also has a hidden passive called Grim Fortune, which boosts her critical strike chance by 5%.

Sister Of The Thorn

The Sister of the Thorn class requires players to purchase the DLC of the same name before it can be unlocked,and is a crowd control specialist.She can use the Thornwake Career Skill to create 6-second Thorn Walls that hinder enemy movement, and A Cluster of Radiants allows her to use Thornwake for free once every 60 seconds.

Blackvenom Blades cause her melee attacks to apply poison, dealing damage and increasing all damage taken by 12% for 10 seconds. A Sustenance of Leechlings causes her to gain temporary health instead of an ally if that ally is at full health, and An Attendance of Munificents boosts all healing received by the party by 25%.

Vermintide 2_Grail Knight
