Its final patch brought dungeons fromThe Burning Crusade,Wrath of the Lich King, andCataclysmup to Level 100 in a new difficulty mode. It was a popular addition to the game, and players wanted more.
Legionexpanded Timewalking further, as it addediconic raids fromWorld of Warcraftsuch as Ulduar and Black Temple, catering to veteran nostalgia and newcomer curiosity alike. Subsequent expansions kept adding content to Timewalking, and the last change came inShadowlands, whenLegionTimewalking was added toWorld of Warcraft, and the Mage Tower opened up its challenges once again.

According to recent datamining efforts by Wowhead, it would seem thatDragonflightis ready to make its contribution to Timewalking. Players knew that aMists of Pandariaraid would be the next logical step, but between Throne of Thunder and Siege of Orgrimmar, it was tough to predict which one Blizzard would end up going with. However, given that Siege of Orgrimmar items have experienced numerous data entry changes in the latestWorld of Warcraftbuild, it strongly implies that players will be facing off against Garrosh Hellscream and the Sha once again.
A particularly curious angle of these data entry changes is the potential return of Garrosh’s Heirloom Weapons that were rendered unobtainable with the release of Patch 6.0. Heirlooms have become an important advantage to any player interested inleveling aWorld of Warcraftalt, and bringing these weapons back through Timewalking would be the perfect opportunity. Though Blizzard has yet to confirm Siege of Orgrimmar as the next Timewalking raid, the evidence is considerable.
It remains to be seen ifBattle for Azerothdungeons will feature inDragonflightas a Timewalking event, given that post-Legioncontent is generally considered as the modernWorld of Warcraftera. However, the popularity ofLegionTimewalking inShadowlandsmay have given Blizzard plenty of incentive to allow players to tackle Zandalar and Kul Tiras dungeons in a new-yet-familiar way. Ultimately, even ifDragonflightonly moves forward with Siege of Orgrimmar for Timewalking, most players feel the current content is strong enough to carry the expansion on its own.
