Console gaming has been dominated by three companies for the longest time, with Microsoft’s Xbox brand being one such big name that has churned out numerous consoles to compete alongside Sony and Nintendo. TheXbox 360 was one of the company’s biggest hits, and their other console offerings have yet to reach the heights of success achieved by the monumental launch of the system they released during the seventh generation of gaming.

While some people might argue that Xbox has been pretty lean in terms of exclusives, the fact is thatthis console has definitely enjoyed its fair share of great titlesthat players can only check on Microsoft-approved platforms. As a result, the Xbox brand has its fair share of memorable characters, including the ones that are pretty weak yet sport incredibly powerful abilities that can decimate their opponents with ease. The best examples of the same are mentioned below.
5Subject Zero (Katana Zero)
Katana Zerois an excellent title that more people need to check out. Xbox has done a great job ofgiving indie games a great platform to showcase their creativity, and players who check outKatana Zerowill understand just how action-packed and engaging well-made indie games can really be. The main character, Subject Zero, is one of the most powerful characters in the game. He can slice and dice through enemies in stylish fashion, and the player genuinely feels amazing to pull of a string of kills without any errors whatsoever.

Of course, making a single error can prove to be catastrophic for a player’s run. This is because Subject Zero can be incapacitated by anything from a punch to a single bullet, forcing players to complete the entire stage without getting a hit all over again. This might seem punishing, but part ofKatana Zero’s allure is powering through these failures to finally nail that one perfect run. Deflecting bullets and executing enemies with pinpoint precision never fails to be entertaining!
4Jackal Sniper (Halo)
It would be impossible to talk about great Xbox games without mentioning what is arguably their most well-known exclusive series.Halois one of the most popular sci-fi gaming franchises around, with the adventures of the Master Chief making for an exciting time over and over again. The series might’ve gone through its fair share of ups-and-downs, butHalostill stands strong as one of the most enjoyable first-person shooters out there.
There are several enemies in the game that the Master Chief needs to shoot down to get through most levels, with the Jackal Sniper being one of the most threatening foes of the lot. A single shot from this enemy can deplete the player’s shields in an instant if not take them out in one shot… but it’s when players close the distance that they realize that a few shots are all that’s required to take this foe down.

3The Hunter (Left 4 Dead)
Left 4 Deadis one of the most beloved co-op shooters around, withplayers being able to take on the role of either a survivor in a group or one of the special Infectedwho are roaming around in each level. This makes for a great zombie multiplayer title, where both the survivors and Infected need to form proper strategies to hunt down their opposition with ease.

The Hunter is one of the many special Infected that players can control in the game. This zombie is extremely fast and its lunge is especially damaging, with players being turned into mincemeat if the Hunter pounces upon them and tears them apart. However, the Hunter can also be disposed of with ease, and a few bullets are all its takes to take this swift zombie out.
2Cave Spider (Minecraft)
Minecraftisone of the most popular sandbox titles of all time, and it’s easy to see why Microsoft paid the big bucks to own this IP. Everything from creation to exploration is a ton of fun inMinecraft, with the title being absolutely packed with a ton of amazing content.
There are many enemies that can plague the player inMinecraft, with the Cave Spider being one of the most annoying enemies in the game. They don’t really have a ton of health and can be taken out with ease… but that’s easier said than done if the spiders attack in a pack. Not only do they hit for substantial damage, but they inflict poison as well! Getting mobbed by multiple Cave Spiders is pretty much a guarantee that the player is going to fall to their bites at some point.

1Marcus Fenix (Gears Of War)
Another Xbox series thatdeserves a mention here isGears of War. The first game pioneered cover shooting itself, with the story of Marcus Fenix and his crew as they fight against the invasive horde of Locusts being quite riveting in its own right. It helped that the active reload system added some much-needed depth to the shooting action as well.
However, since cover shooting was a major focus in this title, players will sooner realize that Marcus can’t really tank more than a few shots or melee hits. This makes it important to switch around in cover and use firearms, with Marcus showing just how adept he is in battle by using a variety of firearms with expert precision. His ability is the military training that he uses in battle to great effect, and it’s genuinely impressive to see just how adept he is at shooting and blasting enemies regardless of the firearm he’s using.
