The character in question is Kyle Katarn, who became popular in theStar Wars Jedi Knightgame series during the late 90s. Unfortunately, during the Disney era ofStar WarsKatarn has been relegated to Legends status, meaning he’s no longer a part of the official canon. Redditor NotJustJason98 has shown a way to pay homage to him in the newest game, by using the Bandolier jacket forCal Kestis inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. The similarities between the two can’t be denied, even down to the single pauldron. It’s a great reference to a bygone age ofStar Wars, but one that shouldn’t be forgotten.

Players in the thread have noticed other outfits inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorthat look like other characters from the franchise. The Outrider set that Cal is able to equip resembles the famous smuggler Dash Rendar, from theShadows of the Empiremultimedia project. These homages are great, and there are surely more to be found.
