AZeldafan makes a helpful discovery about Blupees after hunting down several Bubbulfrogs inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Blupees usually indicate that a cave entrance is nearby inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the creature may transform into a Bubbulfrog, which is sought after for Bubbul Gems.

After waking up inthe Great Sky Island inZelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link will have very little money and items in his inventory. The hero’s Hylian gear and trusty Master Sword have decayed, and players may acquire ancient Zonai attire from nearby chests. Fortunately, Rauru helps Link discover shrines, obtain new abilities, and prepare for the journey back to mainland Hyrule. Link may earn Rupees and other useful materials from a variety of sources in the game, including side quests, wooden crates, and treasure chests.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer Jakeb1616 recently discovered thatBlupees emerging from a Bubbulfrogwill not grant additional Rupees or rewards. Although some players have persistently attempted to farm more Rupees from these creatures, Blupees will only drop Rupees prior to entering a cave. Blupees spawning from a Bubbulfrog will not take damage, and arrows appear to pass through the creature as demonstrated in Jakeb1616’s recorded gameplay clip.

Although Blupees cannot be caught and disappear rather quickly, swift players may earn a lot of money before the creature enters a cave.Blupees may drop Rupeesafter being directly hit by theZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer, and the exact amount of Blue, Green, and Red Rupees dropped may vary due to RNG. Once the Blupee has disappeared, a Bubbulfrog made out of other Blupees will appear, and the creature’s defeat awards Link with a Bubbul Gem.

Some players aren’t surprised by Jakeb1616’s discovery, but this tip helps players who initially believed that Blupees could grant more Rupees after the Bubbulfrog has been defeated. OtherZeldafans theorize that the Bubbul Gem is made out of concentrated Rupees from multiple Blupees, so the creature is unable to drop more Rupees after its defeat.

Bubbul Gems may be traded for unique monster masks, allowing Link to disguise himself while exploring Hyrule inZelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players must first talk to Kilton and Koltin near Woodland Stable and complete"The Hunt for Bubbul Gems" questin order to begin trading Bubbul Gems for masks. Kilton will relocate to Tarrey Town, and Link may speak with him to gain hints about Koltin’s next destination in Hyrule.
